I would like to thank you and your team for a wonderful day out in Wales on Saturday. The route was great and views were spectacular! The route description was easy to follow. The checkpoints where excellent, with plenty to eat, and the sandwiches were the best I have had for a long time (watch out Cornwall and Devon).
Once again, thanks to everyone involved for making it a special day!
Looking forward to the next one.
Just wanted to say thank you for inviting me and my son-in-law to take part in this fantastic walk. I thought after walking the Bath Beat earlier in the year, that nothing could be as good, but this was definitely the best (and the hardest) walk I’ve ever done. Once again the marshals were wonderful, as was the food at the checkpoints, and the delicious soup at the end was most welcome.
Yes, my legs are a tad stiff today, but I really feel I’ve achieved something and looking forward to the Rhondda Rollercoaster.
Please can you pass on our thanks to all the organisers and supporters of this wonderful event.
We hoped to be finished sooner than we were but the beautiful weather and the people we met on the way, made it well worth taking longer! We think our dog enjoyed it too, although she hasn’t said much to us today.
Would just like to say thank you, we found the walk difficult yesterday but thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought the organisation and food/drinks etc was fantastic. We just need a lot more practice with following the instructions, we lost so much time and effort getting lost and going the wrong way.
But thanks anyway for a really good event!
Many thanks for a well-organised event on Saturday. You surpassed yourself with the weather! I don’t think my core temperature lowered back to normal until well into Sunday.
I really liked the new course, especially the descent into Cwmcarn forest. I use the many trails in that forest on my training runs and it seemed unusual to be sharing them with others! Ordinarily I do not meet a soul. That section through the Sirhowy Valley woods was also very attractive.
It being a hot day tinned fruit and jelly would have been welcome at the indoor CPs! Soup is ordinarily very welcome but not this year.
Very good results service, up already on the website.
Thank you very much for another well organised event. We are indeed feeling a bit achey & tired today after all those hills, in a Mediterranean climate!
Looking forward to future events.
I would like to thank you and your team of marshals, caterers, computer experts and all other helpers behind the scene.
You did yourselves proud, by putting together this event, which must be quite a challenge.
I had a great time, enjoyed the scenery and the lovely spread laid on before, during and at the finish
I look forward to returning next year.
Many thanks yet again to you and your team for putting on a great event…………… and dare I say it………even too good weather. The food, as RR was way above Waitrose standard.
26.5 miles and 5750ft or thereabouts is a big day out…………nevertheless we improved on that by going wrong (our fault entirely), and ended up closer to 28 miles and about 6500ft.
See you for the RR next year.
We really enjoyed it. Excellent route. Although local I’d never walked round Mynydd Islwyn- amazed at countryside there.
Refreshments much better than I remember from old Caerphilly Summits days, too!
